Priceline uses does not allow the traveler to compare airline ticket prices after
you have entered your flight preferences and payment information. After entering
your flight information, Priceline will ask you to enter a bid on discount airfare(the amount you want to
pay for your flight).
Priceline will then ask for your
payment information. Once
you continue from that page, Priceline will conduct a search
for discount airfare,
and you will automatically purchase whatever the best airline tickets are that
Priceline's search has produced. While this system does lock you into purchasing
discount airfare from Priceline, you do have the ability to literally name your own
price for whatever flight you want. If your bid is unreasonable or doesn't get
accepted, Priceline will tell you to bid on discount airfare again. You can also go through the same
